Multi-Pass vs. Single-Pass Printing

A key feature of Memjet’s VersaPass printhead is its ability to print up to 8.77 in (222.8 mm) wide with a single printhead on Letter and A4 sized papers. Many desktop inkjet printers use the scanning printhead model. With this kind of printhead, there is a considerably smaller width of media being printed.

Memjet printheads use Waterfall technology. Because of this, they provide a single pass delivery of ink from a stationary head as the media passes beneath the printhead at a perfectly calibrated speed. As a result, this printhead gives you beautiful, high-resolution images at lightning-fast speeds for your L701 and L801 printer.
