The Afinia L801 label printer offers lightning-fast, high-quality printing with super low ink cost.
The secret to Afinia’s L801 printing quality and speed is its advanced print head. With Waterfall printing technology, it ejects up to 700 million tiny ink droplets every second. the Afinia L801 Label Printer is able to print at speeds of up to 60 feet per minute and 1600 dpi. The result is beautiful, vivid images with super crisp text, printed with very low ink costs. This makes it well suited for short to medium print runs. It’s perfect for producing product labels and stickers.
Looking for more durable, water-resistant labels?
The Afinia L801 Printer is also available with Watershield technology. Afinia’s L801 Plus model offers inks that perform better in high moisture environments. If you are working with labels that might be exposed to liquids or humidity, check out the L801 Plus for your needs.

Flexible Media Options
The L801 works with a large variety of label media. From affordable paper labels to highly durable polypropylene (BOPP), polyester and vinyl label stocks to name a few. It supports media widths from 2 to 8.5 inches. It can print at 12 inches per second. Chicago Color Label can help you choose the correct media for your projects. We can also supply you with samples of your artwork before purchasing so you’ll know exactly how your labels will look prior to purchasing.
Network Connectivity
Afinia’s L801 printer offers a variety of connection options. Ethernet gives you access across your local area network and USB for direct PC to printer connections. For advanced applications, GPIO (General Purpose Input/Output) is available for connecting the printer to systems such as label applicators. Chicago Color Label also offers an easy to use WiFi kit for wireless network communication when Ethernet is not available.
Afinia L801 Label Printer – Configuration Options
A 2.25 inch LCD screen gives you full control over the L801’s hardware. The software based toolkit provides more configuration options as well as a built in ink cost estimator. This allows you to calculate the full cost of your labels and determine the best ink usage.

Don’t expect plug-and-play! There is a sizeable (yet reasonable) learning curve with this printer. Once you understand how to work through some of the quirks, the printer is brilliant and amazingly fast!
I would have rated this printer 4 stars for the somewhat unexpected learning process. The extra star is for the amazing service we received from Chicago Color Label. They were reachable (even on the weekend!), responsive and went out of their way to respond and teach as needed. We never felt like we were stuck to learn things on our own. Kudos to the team for their support and attentiveness!
